Selected Group Exhibitions

Seeds Of Summer at the Carpentry Workshop in Kibbutz Yad Mordechai, curated by Yuval Saar and Shua Ben Ari, brings together 24 artists exploring connections between different states and moments. The exhibition reflects a complex, ever-changing reality: homes transformed from shelters into battlefields, nature as both alluring and threatening, shifting tides, and wounds that bleed and heal. It marks the completion of the Shemesh Program, supporting artists from southern Israel through professional tools, international connections, and employment opportunities. The 75-year-old Carpentry Workshop is becoming a cultural center.

The Uncanny is a triptych exhibition by Hagit Ben Yakar Shechter, Taal Goldman, and Orna Oren Izraeli, curated by Fiammetta Martegani. Inspired by Freud’s concept of the uncanny, the exhibition transforms the site into a space for exploring vulnerability, memory, and repressed truths. Three interconnected bodies of work are presented alongside familiar domestic objects: a sink, bed, and dollhouse, linking art to everyday life amid trauma, uncertainty, and the fragile illusion of stability.

Curated by Tamar Lamdan and Carmit Shine, this exhibition explores the bubble and reflection as fragile, temporary images between reality and illusion. The bubble suggests both protection and isolation, while the reflection creates a double image—simultaneously real and unreal. Together, the works move between inner and outer worlds, presence and absence, inviting viewers to question identity, truth, and the fragility of reality: what remains, what fades, and what is merely an image?

Beginning Anew focuses on the foundational ideals of the kibbutz—collectivity, creation, and reflection—drawing a parallel to the artistic process itself. The exhibition examines a central theme of human existence: transportation — the means that allow us to move from place to place in order to sustain a functional life, as much as possible. The exploration of transportation and its various aspects is expressed through painting, sculpture, installation, photography, and video art.
